I think I found something,

1) Open search

2) Type "System Configuration"

3) Press the tab "Services"

4) Search for "Nahimic service" or press 'n' to fast search

5) Disable the check mark, to disable it.

This will stop the software from reinstalling / starting at boot.

After this you can remove it, without having it be reinstalled.

I'm having this issue too. I already did this a couple times. I also deleted the files manually from system32. I even did a group policy edit and tried to prevent the driver from installing based on the device ID.  This is a virus. Not a program. (Yes I realize it is an audio enhancement software but it is acting like a virus.)

Edit:
Finally got it to stop reinstalling by having to disable my on board audio in my bios. I should NOT have to do that. Microsoft/Nahimic/MSI need to get their **** together to fix this issue. If I don't want something running in the background, I should be able to stop it.

Ditto. Furthermore, its uninstaller isliterally broken!

If you right-click onNahimic Companion on the Start screen, select Uninstall, it takes you to the add/remove programs panel in Settings, but the app isn't listed.

I've got the service disabled.

I used various methods to uninstall and block re-installing of the drivers.

I had to unblock driver re-installation because I found on my MSI motherboard*, removing the drivers disables digital output.

Here's what I did:

I removed Nahimic from my Programs and Features list.

But then, I found I also needed to go into Task Scheduler (under Administrative Options in control panel) and right-mouse-click to "DISABLE" the 4 scheduled tasks related to Nahimic (e.g. NahimcTask64, NahimcTask32, NahimicSvc64Run, NahimicSvc32Run).  At first, it looked like 2 of the Tasks were not disabled, but when I rebooted and looked at Task Scheduler again, it did show that all 4 tasks were now DISABLED.

I could not find them either. I could only find the services and files in system32. I really wish Microsoft/MSI/Nahimic would tell us how to stop this. I kind of want to end able my onboard audio again but can't because of Nahimic.

Please try System Restore to any other Restore point, when the app wasn't installed. System Restore will remove any apps/folders/files you had recently installed/created and bring back the apps/folders/files you accidentally deleted.

It's easy to ride down a hill while it's hard to climb the hill back up. Like that, it's easy to malfunction a computer while it's hard to fix it.

Unfortunately, Nahimic came installed on my computer. Not to mention: even if I did have a proper system restore, would you really even call that a fix or..? That's really just wiping my computer to another save state essentially, and I'd rather not have to do that, especially when it will reinstall in the future anyway, seems like a cycle with no end point to me. There's gotta be some better way to remove the app, and not only remove it, but prevent it from reinstalling. And I'm hoping the microsoft community will be a little more, what's the word, willing, to find a way to remove the product. Because, as I previously stated, Nahimic ain't doin sh*t 'bout it (as I'm sure you would imagine).

And yep, I agree, it's easier to break a comp than to fix one. And thank you for trying to help, Joe.
