I ran into probems downloading content. Apparently, Disney+ doesn't "see" external memory cards. Freetime Unlimited has the same issue. My kid's tablets have 128 gb memory cards with lots of available space, but they constantly run out of memory. Netflix does "see" the external memory. I could download 1 hour of Disney+ programs or 13 hours of Netflix programs. see less

I found the solution. Log into the adult profile and put in the sd card and format as external storage. Then safely eject the sd card. Change over to the child profile once it opens up insert the sd card. Now log into disney plus or Netflix and choose a profile within the app that is not a kids profile. Go into app settings and you can choose external storage. Now change the profile within the disney plus or Netflix app back to the child's profile within the app and your all set all downloaded shows and movies will save to sd card.

Some of the newer tablets aready have Disney plus on the tablet and you just need to sreach for it. If not you have to go to the parent side. Download it and allow/share access to it with the kid side. However. Although you maybe login on the parent side does not mean you or login on the kid side. So don't forget to sign in. 😅

Sorta. You have to jail break it to be able to download the Play Store. You can Google how to do it. I think it's a link you have to follow for direct download. I'm sure Amazon would prefer that you buy the apps in their App Store instead, but android apps work on Amazon fire tablets. Once you get that, you can download Disney+ or any other app that's not available in the Amazon app store.

Swipe down from the top of the screen and go to to the parent portion or dashboard of the tablet. Add Disney+ which can be searched for normally.

Once Disney+ is downloaded switch back to the child's dashboard and open their setting by swiping down from the top of the screen. Press 'Add Content' a secondary selection screen will pop up. Select 'Share Content'. There will be tabs that read "Books Audible Videos Games & Apps" select Games & Apps. You should then see the Disney+ App. Select it and you have now added it to your child's dashboard. see less

Both my kids have this tablet and Disney+ is installed on both of them with no problems. No jailbreaking or anything like that was needed. I simply went to the search icon and searched for Disney+ then clicked on it and it was installed

To echo others, I was able to complete this on my child's kid edition kindle (which has a Freetime account).
I completed these steps on the Kindle itself (though I received a notice that Amazon now has a feature I can manage the content remotely) figured I would share with others to hopefully save someone else time🙂… see more

I completed these steps on the Kindle itself (though I received a notice that Amazon now has a feature I can manage the content remotely) figured I would share with others to hopefully save someone else time🙂

First, I downloaded desired apps (Disney+, Netflix) to my profile first.

Next, still on my profile selected the "Amazon FreeTime" app (note: you may be prompted for your Parental Control password/pin)

Now select the "Settings Gear" next to the desired Amazon FreeTime profile (if you have multiple kids/profiles you will see more than one account)

Locate "Manage Your Child's Content" and select "Add Content" then select "Share Content"

You will be prompted to select each app or content you want to share. For Disney + and Netflix I found them both under the "Games & Apps" tab, while here I also went to "Videos" selected movies I have purchased through Amazon Prime Video. Once you have selected what you want, select the "Done" at the bottom.

Now, switch to your child's Freetime profile, and under "Added For You" you will see all the content you shared (games, apps, books and video). It did take a few moments for it to show up. Locate the Disney+ app, you will have to login to it.

Note: if you are low on Space you will get a notification when you attempt to launch an app.

Hope this helps. see less

Not sure what everyone else is saying but I've tried for hours to move disney+ to my kids profile and I don't think you can. The people who succeeded i suspect don't have the kids edition or the free time subscription. If you can I'd gladly take it back if someone can actually post the instructions as google doesnt seem to have them.

I was able to download Disney Plus from the Amazon app store but it wouldn't actually play because the tablet said there wasn't enough storage. The tablet comes preloaded with a ton of stuff already and not much storage is left after that.
